If a portion of the season or the entire 2020-21 season is cancelled, your fees will be refunded for the events that were cancelled. Items that are non-refundable are tryout registration fees, PYHA fees ($50), and PAHL fees ($35).

Players will not be refunded if they are out sick or if they have to quarantine due to themselves, parents or siblings testing positive for COVID-19.

In the case of a total season cancellation, Sponsorship money that is collected before the season will either stay with the organization and be credited to the player’s team the following season or go back to that sponsor. If that player is not part of the organization the following season, the funds will stay with PYHA.

COVID-19 Return to Play Safety Guidelines

  • PYHA will follow all mandates by the local and state guidelines for youth hockey and the facilities that they are happening in.

  • Social Distancing will be highly recommended during all events.

  • No congregating before or after ice events inside the building.

  • Players are to enter the facility no more than 15 minutes prior to their event and are to leave the facility immediately after.

  • Each team will designate 1-3 safety coordinators. These coordinators will take attendance at each event while doing the mandated health evaluation for each player. They will also help with social distancing in the locker rooms and dryland. These coordinators will disinfect locker rooms before and after events.

  • If you are sick, STAY HOME.

  • ADM - No use of locker rooms, you will need to dress before arriving at the rink. Skates can be put on at the rink.

  • At the Deep Freeze there will be permitted 6 players in each locker room and will have designated spots for dressing.

  • Parents will be permitted at practices and games, however, social distancing is encouraged and masks are highly recommended. We do recommend that it is one parent and no siblings.

  • Players are not mandated to wear Personal Protective Equipment but are permitted as long as it is safe for that player and the players around him/her. We recommend players to wear masks when entering and exiting the building.

  • NO spitting of any kind.

  • NO sharing of water bottles. Please bring your own filled water bottle to all events and please have player names on these bottles.

  • Players and coaches will not shake hands with the opposing teams. They will line up on the blue line and applaud each other for good sportsmanship.

  • There will be no sharing of equipment.

  • Please double check your hockey bags, as we will not be lending out equipment this season.

  • All players or people in the player’s household that test positive for COVID-19 need to report that diagnosis to the President of the PYHA and that player will need to perform the proper quarantine protocols. All reports will stay confidential due to privacy laws. If a player or coach tests positive for COVID-19, the entire team will need to quarantine for 14 days.

This policy may change at any time, due to new guidelines and recommendations and will be shared via our website and via email.
